YOUTH CHANGES

Youth Changes is a nonprofit 501 © 3 anti-gang and youth violence prevention program.  The mission of Youth Changes is to educate youth in Davidson County on the ever changing world in which we live, by investing heavily in mentoring and development programs which will strengthen bonds with their family and community.  These efforts will produce safer, wiser, and more productive adults. 

Youth Changes was incorporated February 1, 2007 under the direction of its visionary and founder Mr. Sherron Davis.  As one who has experienced the hypnotic impulses of the streets Mr. Davis had time to reflect on his past dealings and decided that enough was enough and the destruction had to stop.   Seeing not only how the street life affected him but his family,  and everyone surrounding him, Mr. Davis choose to focus on rebuilding what he once helped tare down. 

Since its incorporation, Youth Changes has helped change the lives of youth in the Davidson County area.  Mr. Davis started the program teaching Anger Management and Conflict resolution to community youth at his local church.  The program has since expanded to include, Youth Bible Study, Computer Technology, and Youth Development which include Life Skills, Anger Management and Financial Management. 

Youth Changes anchoring program is Gang and Youth Violence Prevention.  Youth Changes focus on shattering youth's desires to become affiliated in gang activity.  We educate our youth on gang history, outcomes, circumstances, and provide them with positive conflict resolution tactics, re-direction toward positive production, and a more mature and forward-thinking mindset. 

Youth Changes targets male and female youth ages 7-18 that are at risk and in need of further guidance and assistance to make positive changes in their lives.
